WhatsApp rolls out new update for camera, video calls

WhatsApp features have gotten a lot more interesting after the meta-owned app rolled out new update to manage the camera and video calls.

The new update, named camera effects, is currently available to some beta testers and will be accessible to more users in coming days, reported WaBetaInfo

The new feature, which will allow users to manage effects for the camera and video calls, through the new privacy feature.

Located within the privacy settings, the new option allows people to manage their camera effects. “Once enabled, it allows users to apply effects, filters, and backgrounds to both the camera and during video calls,” said WaBetaInfo.

Some of the affects allow interactions to be more expressive and personalised as they can dynamically respond to facial expressions, hand gestures, and movements.
